融贯汉宋 抉隐发微——夏长朴先生《〈四库全书总目〉发微》评介

Comprehending Han and Song,Exploring Their Hidden Subtleties:A Review of Xia Changpu’s Detailed Investigation of the"General Catalogue of the Complete Library of the Four Repositories"

近年来,"四库学"渐成显学,其相关研究成果颇为丰硕。而夏长朴先生《〈四库全书总目〉发微》一书,即为目前"四库学"研究中最为杰出的成果之一。是书立足文献,以精确、细密、严谨的考证,梳理出《总目》定型前诸多提要文本的时间序列;另一方面则深入阐发《总目》文本所蕴含的学术思想,以及隐藏于其中的现实情境。通过融汇"汉学"考据与"宋学"义理两种取径,此书成功地对《总目》进行"抉隐发微",在"四库学"研究中极具里程碑意义。

In recent years,"Siku studies"(Sikuxue 四库学)has gradually become a prominent field of study,with quite substantial achievements in research related to it.Xia Changpu's 夏长朴 book:Detailed Inwestigation of the"General Catalogue of the Complete Library of the Four Repositories"(Siku quanshu Zongmu favei《〈四库全书·总目〉发微》),is one of the most outstanding achievements in the current research of Siku studies.Relying on a text-based apprmach,and using precise,meticulous and rigorous textual criticism,this book sorts out the chronological order of the numerous synoptic texts preceding the finalization of the"General Catalogue,"while also further elucidating the scholarly thought contained in the text of the"General Catalogue,"as well as the historical context hiding underneath.By combining the textual criticism of the"Han Studies"(Hanxue 汉学)tradition and the deep reading-approach of the"Song Studies"(Songxue 宋学)tradition,this book has successfully carried through an"exploration of hidden subtleties"(jueyin favei 抉隐发微)of the"General Catalogue,"which marks a great milestone in the research of Siku studies.For this reason,I would like to review this book,in the hope of drawing the attention of my fellow scholars to it.
