教育家精神是培养新时代“大先生”和推动高等教育高质量发展的重要精神动力和引领力量。新时代高等教育高质量发展急需“教育家精神”,对于如何大力弘扬教育家精神,推动高等教育高质量发展,我们认为,要有系统思维和全局观念,从教师队伍和管理队伍“两手抓”。首先,教师要立大志,要确立从“教书匠”向“大先生”转变的目标,努力做学生为学、为事、为人的“大先生”;其次,管理者要内修,以教育家精神打造“教育家型管理者”,把教育家精神融入高校办学治校全过程,提高大学治理水平。

The spirit of educators plays a vital role as a driving force and guiding power in nurturing“Mr.Big”(great scholars)in the modern era and advancing the highquality development of higher education.The high-quality development of higher education in the new era is critically dependent on the presence of the spirit of educators.To effectively promote the spirit of educators and propel the high-quality development of higher education,we firmly believe in the adoption of systematic thinking and a global perspective.This approach should encompass both the teaching staff and the management team,ensuring a comprehensive and integrated strategy.On the one hand,teachers should aspire to greatness and set their sights on transitioning from being pedagogues/mere teaching tools to becoming great scholars.They should strive to become mentors who inspire students in their study,career and life.On the other hand,administrators should focus on self-improvement and strive to become“educator-oriented managers”by cultivating the spirit of educators within themselves.They should infuse this spirit into every aspect of university operations and administration,thereby enhancing the overall standard of university governance.
