Innovation and Responsibility of Universities

迈向数字化时代,高等教育对国家发展的支撑作用明显增强,这主要缘于新一轮科技革命和产业变革对创新的需要。大学尤其是“双一流”建设大学要担当起创造未来的使命,发挥对教育体系乃至整个社会系统的带动作用。大学要扎根大地加强实践和理论探索,适应经济社会形态变迁促进教育模式变革,在知识创新引领、核心技术突破、区域产业带动、高水平开放等方面推动改革发展,不断提升创新力和实现力,走出一条中国特色世界一流大学新路。

The role of higher education in supporting national development has increased significantly in the digital era,mainly due to the need for innovation in the new round of technological revolution and industrial change.Universities,especially the Double First-class universities,should take up the mission of creating the future and play a driving role in the education system and the whole social system.Universities must enhance the exploration of practice and theory based on Chinese context and historical culture.Moreover,they should adapt to changes in socio-economic formation to advance the reform of educational patterns,promote the reform and development in terms of knowledge innovation,core technology regional industries,high-standard opening-up,and continue to improve the ability to create and implement.Therefore,it can lead to a new path in constructing worldclass universities with Chinese characteristics.
