中国海关史:一座展示中国故事的舞台——访问方德万教授

History of China Customs,A Stage to Show Chinese Stories:Visit Professor Hans van de Ven

应华中师范大学章开沅文化交流基金会杰出学人访问计划邀请,剑桥大学方德万(Hans van de Ven)教授于2019年4月2日至4日在我校开展了两次学术演讲活动,由于机会难逢,中国近代史研究所研究生组成访问团队,在李培德老师的安排下,采访了方德万教授。此次访问重点除集中于《潮来潮去:海关与中国现代性的全球起源》的写作背景外,还涵盖了方教授的治学经历、对中国近代史(包括中国海关史)目前研究成果和方法上的看法、中英学界交流等。

At the invitation of the Distinguished Scholars Visiting Program of Mr.Zhang Kaixuan of Central China Normal University,Professor Hans van de Ven of Cambridge University conducted two academic speeches in our school from April 2nd to 4th,2019.The Graduate School of History Institute formed a visiting team and interviewed Professor Hans van de Ven under the arrangement of Professor LEE Pui Tak.In addition to focusing on the writing background of《Breaking with the Past:The Global Origins of Modernity in China》,the focus of the visit also covers Professor Hans van de Ven’s academic experience and his views on current achievements and research methods in modern Chinese history(including Chinese customs history) and Sino-British academic exchanges.
