when the Belt and Road Initiative was first proposed in 2013,the responses from the international community were neither enthusiastic nor positive. However, after more than six years’development, this initiative has become a great transnational project, which is understood, recognized, appreciated and supported by more and more countries. Its impact goes far beyond China’s periphery and gradually becomes a global public good.So far,China has signed more than 200 cooperation documents with 136 countries and 30 international organizations, and there are more than 200 projects have been launched. The concepts and propositions of the Belt and Road Initiative have been written into relevant documents of APEC,G20,the United Nations and other major international organizations and institutions. The reason why the Belt and Road has expanded is that it has adapted itself to the trend of the times, adhered to the principle of equality and mutual benefit universally recognized by the international community, and carried forward the fine Chinese cultural tradition of"all nations live side by side in perfect harmony,"and embodied the simple truth that"it is really good when everyone is happy."In a sense,we can even say that the Belt and Road Initiative is not only the inevitable choice of China’s peaceful development, but also the only way for human society to realize its own sustainable development goal.
