Introduction of SWUFE Law School

西南财经大学法学院是学校"211工程"和"985工程"优势学科创新平台重点建设学院。西南财经大学前身院校之一的正阳法商学院,其前身是创建于1946年的重庆朝阳学院,1949年更名为私立重庆正阳法商学院。当时的院长、院董事长均为国民政府"司法院"院长居正兼职,副院长由国民政府"司法行政部"次长、"最高法院"院长夏勤担任。同样为西南财经大学前身院校之一的、创建于1946年8月的相辉文法学院也设有法律专业。

The development of the Law School has been a key effort of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics(SWUFE)since it was listed in both"Project 211"and"Project 985"of the Chinese government as part of the national endeavor to build world-class universities in the 21st century.The predecessor of SWUFE Law School was the former Chongqing Sunrise College founded in 1946 which later changed its name into Zhengyang Business and Law School in 1949.The president and director of the college at that time was Ju Zheng,President of Judicial Department of the Republic government and the deputy president was Xia Qin,the vice minister of the Judicial and Administrative Ministry.Xianghui College of Humanities and Law,which was one of the predecessors of SWUFE,also had its own law department.
