吴湖帆是中国近现代最富盛名的收藏家与古书画鉴定大师,他将收藏、赏鉴与创作相互补益,融会贯通,取得了多方面的艺术成就。吴湖帆梅景书屋收藏的艺术品现大部分藏于国内外各大博物馆及其他公私机构,从收藏角度来讲,未尝不是吴湖帆生命的延续,从中也可以窥见其艺术风格的流变渊源。

Wu Hufan(1894-1968)is the most renowned art collector and connoisseur of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy in modern China.He had integrated such skills as collecting,authenticating,and creating of artworks,achieving diverse accomplishments.His collection of artworks,under his studio name"Study with a view of Plum Blossoms"(Meijing shuwu),are mostly kept in esteemed museums and private or public institutions home and abroad.It is,in a sense,the continuation of Wu Hufan’s life.These artworks testify the inspiration and transformation of his own artistic creation.
