《新加坡国家认同研究(1965—2000)》(李志东著,中国人民大学出版社,2014年出版)一书从新加坡内部,上至政府和社会精英,下至普通百姓的双向视角,向读者描摹了一条较为清晰的新加坡国家认同构建之路,这条道路既有与其它国家的相同之处,也有极为鲜明的新加坡特色。本书有着较为扎实的学术史梳理和问题意识,又站在历史主义立场纵向回顾了新加坡国家认同的确立和变迁,归纳发展阶段及其特征,还着重考察了经济起飞后新加坡国家认同的变化,以及为了解决"现代化综合症"所带来的各类社会问题而从国家认同角度所做的积极努力,使读者能够对新加坡国家认同的历史脉络一目了然。

The book Studies on Singapore’s National Identity(1965-2000)(written by Li Zhidong and published by the China Renmin University Press in 2014)depicts a clear road to the building of Singapore’s national identity from the internal side of the country,including the government,the social elites and ordinary people.The road is not only similar to those in other countries,but also features obvious Singaporean characteristics.The book also makes solid analysis from an academic history perspective with a strong problem consciousness,reviews the establishment and changes of Singapore’s national identity from the angle of historicism,summarizes the development phases and characteristics of Singapore’s national identity,and specifically studies the changes in the building of Singapore’s national identity after its economic take-off,as well as what efforts Singapore has made for the sake of its national identity while in solving the various social problems caused by the"modernization syndrome",so that readers can have a very clear outline of the development history of Singapore’s national identity.
