元顺帝宣文阁的设立,聚集了元晚期以来最优秀的馆阁文人。这些文人借助多维的师友、僚友关系圈及大型文化活动、同题集咏促成宣文阁文人群的建构。他们主盟文坛,以变更文弊、振兴斯文为己任,创作上普遍追求理明辞达、简古醇雅的审美风格,一定意义上改变了元末文坛的虚饰颓靡之风,并使得天历、至顺之后由盛转衰的文坛格局发生了转向。另外,宣文阁文人十分注意培植同道、汲引后进,从馆阁到山林、京师到地方,其影响无处不在。在元明之际的文坛格局和文风演进中,宣文阁文人群发挥了深刻而广泛的影响。

The establishment of Xuanwen Pavilion by Emperor Shun of Yuan Dynasty had gathered the most outstanding pavilion literati since the late Yuan Dynasty.These literati contributed to the construction of literary coterie in Xuanwen Pavilion by means of a multi-dimensional relationship circle of mentors and colleagues,large-scale cultural activities,and collections of chants with the same title.They dominated the literary field,and took changing the literary ills and revitalizing the gentleness as their own responsibility.Their creations generally pursued the aesthetic style of rationality and conciseness,simplicity and elegance.In some sense,they transformed the pretentious and decadent literary style at the end of the Yuan Dynasty,and reversed the literary trend of from prosperity to decline since Tianli and Zhishun.In addition,Xuanwen Pavilion literati paid great attention to supporting peers and attracting younger generations,with their impact being everywhere from the pavilion to the mountains and forests,from the capital city to the local area.In fact,the literary coterie in Xuanwen Pavilion had exerted a profound and extensive influence on the evolution of literary landscape and style during the period of Yuan and Ming Dynasties.
