论《世说新语》的对句之美

《世说新语》一书因其"简约玄澹"之风的突出,往往遮蔽了其并非脱逸于中古骈文发展进程的意义。书中的对句表现,依托于语言生态因复词流行而增进以四六为基调组织文句的倾向,由此也有助于理解骈文在中古时期开花结果的语言生活土壤。《世说新语》中分布的对句,扩大了对万物与人世间"事不孤立"的观察范围,其背后的认知拓展与反思,还与魏晋玄学时代价值多元化的思想历练有关。清谈的眼界、旨趣与方法等方面,直接或间接地影响于对句生成的时代特色和修辞内涵。

The prominent writing style of"simplicity,abstrusity and indifferent blandness"of Shishuo Xinyuoften obscures the significance of this book to the development of parallel prose in medieval China.The parallel sentences presented in the book depend on the tendency of language ecology to organize sentences based on four-character sentence and six-character sentence because of the popularity of compound words.This is also helpful to understand the language environment in which parallel prose blossomed and fruited in the medieval times.The parallel sentences distributed in Shishuo Xinyu enlarge the scope of observation of"things are not isolated"between all things and the world,and the cognitive expansion and reflection behind them are also related to the diversified values in the period of arcane learning in the Wei and Jin Dynasties.The vision,purport and method of pure conversation directly or indirectly affect the characteristics of the times and the rhetorical connotation of the formation of parallel sentences.
