摘要
作为晚清理学经世派的代表人物,郭嵩焘秉承湖湘学术经世致用的一贯品格,治《诗》兼采汉宋,以致用为归宿。身处变乱之世的郭嵩焘对《诗》之"变雅"尤为青睐,其根本原因是希冀以之针砭现实、惊醒世人、有益世用,尤其是以论"变雅"中"谗言"之危害为切入点,提倡"尚行",反对"尚言"。郭嵩焘极为注重承续儒家《诗》教传统,并以之为准绳品评古今诗歌高下,虽在一定程度上显露出其思想的保守倾向,但由此既能表现其"忧道之心",更可见出其经世旨归。
As a representative of Confucians of the late Qing Dynasty,Guo Songtao inherited the utilitarianism of Hunan Confucian School to interpret the Odes,absorbing the advantages of the Confucian School in Han Dynasty and Song Dynasty.Guo Songtao tries to criticize the social realities and evoke people to reform and improve the society,that’s why he pays more attention to the critical poetry in the Odes.He focuses on revealing the disadvantages of the flattery poetry in the Odes.Therefore he keeps advocating pragmatism about writing poetry in order to benefit the society.As far as literary criticism is concerned,Guo Songtao proclaims to put a higher valve on practical poetry in the Odes.It may indicate that Guo Songtao is conservative to some degree,however,it also demonstrate his consciousness of realizing the Confucian Dao(道)and his aims of emphasizing statecraft.
