中共三大通过的《关于国民运动及国民党问题的议决案》等文件中,只提到了“共产党党员应加入国民党”。中共三大闭幕两个月后,青年团二大在南京召开,大会通过的《关于中国共产党第三次大会报告决议案》中,有青年团加入国民党的表述。方志敏是按照团二大通过决议案的规定,以青年团的身份加入了国民党的。

After the CPC’s Third National Congress,Fang Zhimin joined the KMT in his own name.At that moment,he was not a CPC member yet.So what was his political affiliation then?To solve this question requires a close and careful look through the years of him being a revolutionist.Between the fall of 1919,when he left his hometown Yiyang County to study in Nanchang,Jiangxi Province,and early 1924,when he became a KMT member,Fang had no contact with the KMT.In the Resolution on the National Movement and KMT-related Issues and other documents adopted at the CPC’s Third National Congress,it was stated that“CPC members shall join the KMT”but nothing was mentioned about whether members of the Communist Youth League of China(CYLC)should do the same.However,the latter was made clear in the Resolution on the Report of the CPC’s Third National Congress adopted at the CYLC’s Second National Congress,which was held in Nanjing two months later following the CPC’s Third National Congress.It can therefore be concluded that,Fang joined the KMT as a member of the Communist Youth League in accordance with the resolution that had been adopted at the CYLC’s Second National Congress.
