撒哈拉以南非洲地区法语语言现状及趋势研究

Status Quo and Development Trend of the French Language in Sub-Saharan Africa

随着英语影响力的迅速扩大,法语在全球地位相对下降。作为全球法语国家及地区最重要的区域,撒哈拉以南非洲地区是全球法语国家及地区最重要的区域,研究该地区的法语语言现状成为研判法语未来发展趋势的关键点。本文在双语制格局背景下,从法语与非洲的历史渊源、撒哈拉以南非洲地区法语语言现状两个方面进行梳理,分析认为法语在撒哈拉以南非洲地区正良性发展,其未来趋势相对乐观,而优化法语教学条件,积极探索法语新变体、合理利用数字媒体等将成为推进非洲区域法语发展的重要因素。

With the rapid expansion of the influence of English,the status of French in the world has declined relatively.Sub-Saharan Africa is the most important region in French-speaking countries and regions in the world,and the status quo of the French language in this region has become a key point for the future development of French.The present article examines this issue in the context of the dual language system,focusing on the history of French in Africa and its status quo in sub-Saharan Africa.The analysis shows that French is developing in a healthy manner in this part of Africa,and it has a relatively optimistic future,though improvement of French education conditions,acceptance of new French variants,and the presence of digital media pose important challenges.
