Pursuing a Holistic Approach to National Security:Walking a Path of National Security with Chinese Characteristics

总体国家安全观是马克思主义国家安全观中国化的最新成果,是习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想的重要组成部分,标志着我们党和国家的国家安全理论实现了历史性飞跃。总体国家安全观的核心要义是以确保实现中华民族伟大复兴的奋斗目标为根本使命,以人民安全为宗旨,以政治安全为根本,以维护国家利益为主线,以促进国际安全为依托,健全国家安全体系,走中国特色的国家安全道路。新时代全面贯彻总体国家安全观,有效实现国家利益,必须坚持统筹兼顾实现国家长治久安、坚持底线思维争取战略主动、坚持因势利导推进积极安全。

A holistic approach to national security is the latest achievement in localization of Marxism approach to national security in China and an important part of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,which marks a historical leap of the national security theory of the party and the nation.The core principles of a holistic approach to national security include regarding national rejuvenation realization as the fundamental mission,regarding people’s security as the tenet,regard political security as the fundamental,regard national interests protection as the main line,and by promoting international security,build a national security system,and walk a path of national security with Chinese characteristics.To fully implement a holistic approach to national security and realize national interests effectively in the new era,one should adhere to make overall plans and take all factors into consideration in order to realize country’s longterm stability,use worst-case scenario thinking for pursuing strategic initiative,and make the best use of the circumstance for promoting positive security.
