《曾国藩家书》(节选)英译实践分析

随着中华优秀传统文化"走出去"进程的加快,我国优秀文化作品的外译研究的重要性与日俱增.《曾国藩家书》作为文学作品的载体之一,具有深厚的文学底蕴和史学价值,向海内外的人们传播中华优秀传统文化是译者义不容辞的责任,能更好地推动中华民族的伟大复兴.本英译实践选取了《曾国藩家书》治家篇中曾国藩写给其兄弟的三封书信,从词汇和句子两个层面出发着重探讨了在翻译过程中所运用的主要翻译策略,期望本研究能够为从事典籍翻译的译者们提供一些参考.

With the acceleration of the“going out”process of Chinese excellent traditional culture,the research on the translation of Chinese excellent cultural works is becoming more and more important.The Family Letters from Zeng Guofan,as one of the carriers of literary works,has profound literary heritage and historical value.It is an obligatory responsibility of a translator to spread Chinese excellent traditional culture to the people home and abroad,which can better promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.This English translation practice selects three letters written by Zeng Guofan to his brother in the governance chapter of The Family Letters from Zeng Guofan,and focuses on the main translation strategies and some difficulties encountered in the translation process from the two levels of vocabulary and sentence,which aims to provide some reference for translators engaged in classical Chinese translation.
