林语堂是一位学贯中西的文学家、翻译家,其作品在国内外均有较大影响,其外文著作的中译本部分由其自己翻译,并且有较好的翻译成果,因此国内读者的评价较高.文章从文学审美角度,以《啼笑皆非》中译本为个案,分析林语堂的翻译观,以帮助读者更好地思考文学的艺术性和领会翻译的本质.

Lin Yutang is a translator who has a good knowledge of China and the West.His works have a great influence at home and abroad.The Chinese versions of his foreign works are translated by himself and have good translation results.Therefore,he has a high evaluation of domestic readers.From the perspective of literary aesthetics,this paper analyzes Lin Yutang’s views on translation by taking the Chinese translation of Between Tears and Laughter as an example,so as to help readers better think about the artistry of literature and understand the essence of translation.
