在中国古代历史上,隋唐王朝是一个非常重要的时期,不仅仅因为经济发达和国力强盛,同时也因为思想活跃和文化繁荣.言及中国思想文化发展史,人们常常拈出一个最具代表性的术语来概括特定时期的思想文化特色,所谓先秦的子学、两汉的经学、魏晋的玄学、宋明的理学、清代的朴学,而隋唐时期最具特色的思想文化是佛学.隋唐时期是中国佛教文化发展的高峰,因此长期备受学界热切关注.以往的中国哲学史和中国思想史的通史著作中都为隋唐佛学开辟专章,中国佛教史著作更是对隋唐佛教大书特书.
AsanewlypublishedmasterpiecewrittenbyprofessorJie Yongqiang,The Cultural History of Buddhism during the Sui-Tang Dynasties(《隋唐文化史论》)was composed of 30 academic thesis which discussed the history of Buddhism during the Sui-Tang Dynasties from three aspects:Buddhist temples,venerable Buddhist and social culture of Buddhism.By the combination of macroscopic demonstration and microscopic analysis,this book not only revealed the general trajectory of Buddhism,but also referred to the significant issues of the study on the history of Buddhism in the Sui-Tang Dynasties.The opinions of this book had been embodied into all theses which were enlightening and abundant.Therefore,this book enriched the research as well as expanded a new perspective on the study of Buddhism history during the Sui-Tang Dynasties.
