Several Questions about Master Mahayana Guang(Pu Guang)of the Tang Dynasty

大乘光法师,一般通称为普光法师,是玄奘大师的高足之一,主要以其《俱舍论记》而闻名.与其师兄弟大乘基法师相比,大乘光受到的关注一直较少,现有的研究都存在或多或少的谬误和不足[1].本文试图根据现存史料,对大乘光法师作一较为全面的论述,主要考察大乘光法师的生平事迹、法名尊称、著作种类以及人物关系等问题.

Master Mahayana Guang(Pu Guang),commonly known as Master Pu Guang,was one of the important disciples of Master Xuan Zang,and was mainly known for his book Ju She Lun Ji(《俱舍论记》).Previous studies on Mahayana Guang had fallacies and deficiencies.This paper attempts to make a comprehensive exposition of Master Guang based on the existing historical materials.It focuses on issues such as his life and deeds,name,types of works,and his relationship with other people.
