摘要
分析费孝通的“各美其美,美人之美,美美与共,天下大同”箴言的英译现状,探讨在“四个自信”背景下,对“美美与共”统一译文保留其诗性语言特点以及其中的“美”“共”等核心表述,彰显中国话语主体印记;运用增译法,并适应当今的多模态话语趋势,借助多模态手段,填补语境、文化空缺,使“美美与共”这一中国文化及理论重要元素得以高效、准确、生动地对外传播.
The present situation of the diversified English translations of the"Meimei Yugong"maxim proposed by Chinese sociologist Fei Xiaotong is analyzed and retaining the poetic language features of the unified translation of"Meimei Yugong"and the core expressions of"beauty"and"sharing"in the maxim in the background of"Four Matters of Confidence"so as to highlight the imprint of Chinese discourse are explored.It is found that the amplification translation method can be applied and the translated version should be adapted to the current trend of multimodal discourse,and that multimodal means can be used to fill in cultural and contextual vacancies with a view to making the effective,accurate and vivid spread of the important elements of Chinese culture and theory.
