摘要 Cesarean section (CS), the most commonly surgical procedure, is performed to overcome certain types of dystocia and/or other complications. However, rates of CS with no medical indications have been increasing steadily in both developed and developing countries, exceeding the recommended rates of 10%-15% from the World Health Organization and the international healthcare community.Epidemiological data showed that higher CS rates may increase risks of certain adverse health outcomes in mothers and children.
