Valve clearance is a key parameter of diesel engine.Abnormal valve clearance will lead to deterioration of diesel engine performance.This paper focuses on the improvement of tappet and camshaft contact surface structure,the optimization of push rod structure and the improvement of valve&valve seat material to ensure that the valve clearance maintenance period of a diesel engine can be improved to 1000 hours.
