Dong Leshan,a famous translator in China,has made great achievements in both translation theory and practice.An analysis of his translational achievements and contributions reveals that Dong plays a leading role in the translation of foreign literature,academic works,news and in initiating the cultural turn in contemporary Chinese translation studies.Dong is undoubtedly a representative figure among the new generation of famous translators in China.
