As Shakespeare observed,'To be or not to be,that is the question.' To live or to die is the eternal theme of life.To live by Yu Hua and Elegy Written in a Churchyard by Thomas Gray both talk about the two themes and write from the perspective of peas-ants,expressing an open mind to life.In this article,I will focus on the theme and analysis of Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard by Thomas Gray and To Live by Yu Hua,and the comparison between them,then lead readers to think about the attitude towards life and death.Every one will return to the bosom of his Father and his God,we should be born to die,facing life bravely and positively.
