摘要
Objective: To investigate the effects of atorvastatin on renal function, renal fibrosis, oxidative stress and inflammatory factors in patients with diabetic nephropathy. Methods: A total of 120 patients with diabetic nephropathy admitted to People's Hospital of De Yang, Sichuan, China were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 60 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were given routine treatment, while patients in the observation group were given atorvastatin on the basis of routine treatment. Before and after treatment, the levels of blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Scr), cystatin C (CysC), matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor-1 (TIMP-1), transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1), malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), matrix metalloprotein-9 (MMP-9) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) were detected and compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the levels of BUN, Scr, CysC, TIMP-1, TGF-β1, MDA, MMP-9 and TNF-α of the patients in the control group were significantly decreased (P<0.05), while the levels of SOD and GSH-Px were significantly increased (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of BUN, Scr, CysC, TIMP-1, TGF-β1, MDA, MMP-9, and TNF-α in the serum of the patients in the observation group were significantly decreased (P<0.05), while the levels of SOD and GSH-Px were significantly increased (P<0.05). The above indexes of the patients in the observation group were better than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: Atorvastatin can effectively alleviate renal function damage, renal fibrosis and inflammatory stress in patients with diabetic nephropathy, enhance the antioxidant capacity of the body, and have a certain protective effect on the kidney.
