This paper introduces the process of checking and treating one-point grounding fault of rotor winding of No.3 generator in Yamadu Hydropower Station,analyses the causes of the fault,and points out the harm of one-point grounding fault of generator rotor winding.It is emphasized that in the process of installation and overhaul of hydro-generating units,the relevant process standards should be strictly implemented.Before the new installation and overhaul units are put into operation,the generator should be carefully checked and accepted,so as to prevent the occurrence of one point grounding fault of the rotor during operation.
