摘要
To the Editor:During pregnancy,it is critical to obtain adequate micronutrients to ensure maternal and fetal health.Due to the rapidly increasing demand for micronutrients among pregnant women and that the demand is not being fulfilled by daily dietary intake, especially in resource-poor settings, micronutrient deficiency during pregnancy is very common worldwide and in China.[1]Previous studies in China reported that a high proportion of pregnant women had insufficient intakes of folate, vitamins, and calcium.[1]Of these insufficient intakes, calcium deficiency was the leading problem.[2]
