摘要
The development of the English syllabus reflects people’s attitudes toward the nature of English. According to Howatt & Richard (2014), English syllabus development went through four stages: ‘the Classical Period, the Reform Period, the Scientific Period and the Communicative Period.’ In China, Task-Based syllabus has been implemented nationwide since 2001. Besides, the MOE advocates teachers to use TBLT as the central pedagogy in primary schools. However, the promoted syllabus does not implement well because of China’s educational setting.
