In the long history of rhetoric, metaphor has been regarded as the deviation of normal language, that is, the comparison of different things. However, the cognitive linguistics breaks up the durance of the traditional rhetoric. In cognitive linguistics, metaphor is the way we think and apperceive. Our perception of metaphor mainly comes from the common experience. Love is one of the basic emotions of human being.
