摘要
多元智能理论(The Theory of Multiple Intelligences)是美国哈佛大学著名学者霍华德·加德纳在其1983年出版的著作《智能的结构》一书中首次提出,在当前美国教育教学改革中产生了广泛的积极影响,已经成为许多西方国家20世纪90年代以来教育教学改革的重要指导思想。这一理论已受到我国广大中、小学校长、教师的关注和认可,但其在高职英语课堂中的运用极少,作者认为,多元智能理论同样适用于高职英语教学。
Since 1983,when Howard Gardner published the book,Frames of Mind,multiple intelligences theory has been embraced by educators as a tool for understanding and effectively meeting the learning needs of their students.Till now,western educators have done a lot of studies about this theory.Chinese primary/secondary school heads and teachers have attracted the attention of this theory,but it has received less attention than it should in vocational English teaching.The author thinks The Theory of Multiple Intelligences is also applicable to vocational English teaching.
