“AB型增粒剂”应用于杂交稻制种、繁殖，能够显著改善不育系的异交性能，提高异交结实率和产量。该剂应用后对于减轻不育系包颈、调节穗层结构、提早花时，提高柱头外露率以及柱头生活力等方面具有特殊功效。根据多年来各地制、繁种生产上研究和应用结果，一般可提高异交结实率20％-30％，增产20％-25％。
