In this paper, the thermodynamic functions of a classical system of N noninteracting particles, in which the Hamiltonian for a single particle is taken to be ε= cp, are obtained by using the method of the microcanonical ensemble, and are compared with the results obtained by using the method of the canonical ensemble.
