南宁地区蔗糖生产已发展到一定的规模，在广西蔗糖生产占有重要的地位。但在市场经济条件下，甘蔗生产竞争力不强，糖厂效益不理想，没有真正发展蔗糖生产的优势。因此，提高蔗糖业效益是糖厂的中心工作。

The sugar production of Nanning prefecture,which occupies an important standing at Guangxi,has been developed at a higher level.Therefore,in the market economic conditions,it displays a poor competitive ability to sugar production and the economic results of sugar factories are not satisfactory,which does not achieve the full potential of the sugar production.For these reasons, enhancing the econonic benefits is a central task of sugar factories.
