将生命现象作为解释对象的所有知识体系，存在两种有质的区别的解释起点和前提，一种来自对无机界事实的认识和归纳，另一种来自对生命现象的认识和归纳。如果解释起点或前提中或多或少地属于第二种，那么，解释的方向总是或多或少地含有“从生命到生命”的成分。这与“生命来自无机界”这一重大命题相悖。
