城市角色是指城市在城市网络中所处的地位。城市人对城市发展具有角色期待的心理,合理的角色期待要符合城市的客观条件,要得到主导城市发展的城市人群的认可,特别是决策者的认可。城市间存在着角色的冲突与竞争,要减少不利的城市角色冲突,就要建立良性竞争机制,加强城市间协作,实现角色互补,达到共同发展的目的。合理认知城市角色,在规划目标的制定上要实现从理想城市到健康城市的转变。所谓健康城市,就是以满足城市人的快乐原则为出发点,将城市的自由度、舒适度、宜居性作为规划的目标,既要实现城市客观存在的有序协调发展,也要满足城市人的心理需求。
