A Real-time Traffic Information System Using Probe Vehicles

依托散布在城市路网中的检测设备采集实时路况信息,是建设城市智能交通体系的必要环节。本文对移动采集节点在路况信息采集过程中的关键问题进行理论分析,给出信息采样周期、传输周期以及采样节点最小数目估计。讨论在突发事故情况下,传输信息周期的调整以及采样节点数量的下限。

It is important to use distributed probes to detect real-time traffic information which is an essential factor in ITS. This paper analyzes the process of traffic data collection by mobile probes, and evaluates the time interval between data collecting and transferring, and the minimal probe sample size. It also discusses how to adjust the time interval between data transferring and the minimum probe node sample size when there is an accident.
