略论电子资源与图书馆发展

Relationships between electronic resources and development of libraries

针对人们对电子资源的过高期待 ,在概述电子资源的优势及其对图书馆带来的挑战基础上 ,阐述现阶段电子资源存在的缺憾 ,论证说明 :对信息传播来说 ,电子技术只是一种手段 ;电子资源对传统信息资源只能起补充而不是替代作用。

Aiming at too high expectations that many people have placed on electronic resources of libraries,this paper summarizes the advantages of electronic resources and challenges to libraries.The existing disadvantages of elecˉtronic resources are also presented in the paper.The author concludes that electronic technology is only a means for the dissemination of information;and electronic resources can only be a supplement but not replacement to traditional inforˉmation resources.
