Design and Implementation of Virtual Reality Geographic Information System Based on VRML

虚拟现实地理信息系统是将地理信息系统(G IS)技术和虚拟现实(VR)技术相结合的新技术,文中首先提出了一种通过松散模型构建VRG IS系统的方法,然后对空间数据的组织和管理、空间数据引擎的选择、空间数据和属性数据的挂接等关键问题进行了阐述,最后给出了基于VRML的虚拟现实地理信息系统的开发实例。

VRGIS is a new technology which combines GIS technology and VR technology.An incompact model is used to construct VRGIS,and some key problems such as the spatial data organization and management,the choice of spatial data engine and associating attribute data with spatial data are discussed in detail in this paper.An instance of VRGIS based on VRML is presented in the end.
