论“归化”、“异化”与习语翻译

On "Naturalization","Alienation" and the Translation of Idioms

归化与异化作为具体的翻译方法,不仅是不矛盾的,而且是各有所长,互为补充的,因而也就无所谓优劣。在习语翻译中,可采用异化法,也可采用归化法,或两者结合运用。

As specific methods of translation,naturalization and alienation are not contradictory to each other.Each has its own advantages. They are mutually supplemented.Thus they are both useful in transition.Either of them can be used to translate idioms,or sometimes both can be used together.
