The connotation of editing includes not only weighing and polishing the wording and phrasing of works,but also checking and improving its idealogical content,artistic quality,and level of knowledge as well as its format,style of calligraphy,and the size of letters or characters.As the competition among the periodicals becomes increasingly intense,the role of the editorseems even more crucial.
