今天,马寅初之所以受到普遍的敬意,除了他在人口问题等方面的真知灼见已被历史所证明,更是他身上体现出来的知识分子品格,那种浩然独立的人格力量。知识分子不应该只是某个领域的专家,而要承担社会责任,应该热爱祖国,关注民生,服务社会,坚持真理,这样的人,才称得上真正的知识分子。

Nowadays MA Yin-chu is respected by the people because not only his wise views on population have been proved by the history but also his independent and righteous personality power of intellectual is attractive.An intellectual should not only be the expert in some field but be socially responsible,love his motherland,pay attention to people s livelihood,serve the society,adhere to the truth.Such a man can be a real intellectual.
