哈罗德.品特是英语文学中自萧伯纳以来最优秀的喜剧作家。品特的喜剧强调一种普遍存在的威胁,因而被称为"威胁的喜剧"。本文从结构安排、场景设置、语言特点三个方面探讨品特《送菜升降机》中的喜剧性和威胁性。
Harold Pinter is the greatest comedian in English-speaking countries since Bernard Shaw.His plays are called 'the comedy of menace' due to his emphasis on the universally ominous threat.This paper will explore the comic and menacing factors in 'The Dumb Waiter' through the analysis of the structure,setting and language.
