摘要
从历史语境、文化意义、生态批评的角度来看,“以人为本”有其丰富的涵义,即把人作为本源和根本,“人”是人们事业的第一起因或“人”是人们的第一事业。因此,“以人为本”的准确英译具有重要意义。
This paper discusses several commonly seen English translations of 'yirenweiben'(people-being-the-first-cause) from the perspectives of historical context,cultural meaning and eco-criticism.On the base of understanding its profound meanings,the author puts forward another English translation: 'people-being-the-first-cause'.
