英语语料库检索工具的设计理念及其深层化

The Conceptions of Concordancers for English Corpora and Some Deeper Ideas

语料库语言学已经对现代语言学产生了深刻影响,通用型英语语料库检索工具已经发展到接近20种.然而,面向非赋码语料库的英语语料检索工具,其功能却依然局限于词形检索,不能进行语法检索、语义检索等深层检索.本文通过对10个语料库检索工具较详细的功能描述和多角度的总体评价,提出设计理念的深层化问题,期待对国内外新一代英语语料库检索工具的研发起到抛砖引玉的作用.

Corpus linguistics has significantly influenced modern linguistics while the number of English concordancers in the world is already nearly 20.However,the functions of most English-corpora concordancers are still morphological concordancing,instead of grammatical concordancing,syntactic concordancing or semantic concordancing.This paper carries a rather detailed description of the functions of the ten most famous English concordancers,and a multi-angle overall analysis.Now a few English corpora such as JDEST and CLEC(the Chinese College Learner English Corpus) have been established in China,which signifies encouraging achievements.Hence,the paper puts forward a theoretical framework for the significant integration of grammatical concordancing,syntactic concordancing and semantic concordancing,in hopes of contributing to the research and development of more powerful next-generation English concordancers at home and abroad.
