This paper firstly introduces the history of Iwanami Shoten, and then summarizes the main contribution of Iwanami Shoten in cultural exchange between China and Japan since its opening. The thesis also particularly reviews and appraises the history of book donation of Iwanami Shoten to Sun Yat-Sen University Library.
