An Analysis of Inappropriateness in Oral Communication and the Strategies

归纳英语交际过程中常出现的语用失误现象 ,指出英汉交际语在用词、内容和语用原则上的差异 ,并分析造成语用语言失误与社交语用失误的主要原因 ,从而探讨英语教学如何能使学生顺利、自如地用目的语进行交际的策略。

This paper discusses the possible reasons for some common inappropriateness in oral communication by Chinese learners,and postulates strategic repair on pedagogic considerations,Covering both verbal and non-verbal actions,we probe the different expressions between Chinese and English oral communication on three layers: wording,contents and pragmatic principles,and the possible causes for both pragmalinguistic and sociopragmatic failures in a specific way. The teaching application is elucidated in the end.
