A Comparison of Modern Women Formal Dress Culture between Shes in Zhejiang and Miao in Guizhou

以畲族、苗族近代女子盛装物质形态异同的分析为基础,探究两者产生异同的深层原因,揭示民族染织服饰表征下所蕴涵的一般规律,即民族染织服饰的异同受其社会整体文化系统中的生态、技术、民俗、观念等因素影响。此规律不仅适合传统民族服饰,也适合对当今对染织服饰一般的考察和探析。

There exists a parlance about the ethnic Shes and Miao with the same source with the combination of on-the-spot investigation in Shes & Miao areas and relevant documents,the paper conducts a comparative research in modern women formal dresses of both ethnic groups.Through investigation in similarities and differences of forms of substance,the authors explore the in-depth reasons of similarities and differences in appearance,reveal thoroughly the universal law under characterization of national dyed-fabric clothing ornament,that is to say,similarities and differences of national dyed-fabric clothing ornament are substantially affected by some elements of the whole social culture system which includes ecology,technology,folk customs,conception etc.This general rule not only caters to traditional ethnic costumes,but also sheds light on exploration and diagnosis of modern garments.
