Many exotic plants are able to restrain native species in a new habitat by releasing allelochemicals.More and more studies have shown that the allelopathy of exotic plants plays an important role in their successful ecesis.The allelopathy of exotic plants,in particular,the allelopathy of several exotic plants and the allelochemicals are reviewed,including their applications.The significance of research on exotic plants allelopathy is elaborated and its future research direction is identified.
