摘要
性别歧视是一种由来已久的社会现象,英语的词形、词序、词义、称谓、描述、谚语等中均存在性别歧视现象,这反映了英美国家女性地位的低下和文化失语。要根除这种语言上的性别歧视,必须首先根除社会中的性别歧视观念。
Language sexism is a very common and long-rooted phenomenon.In this paper,the author reveals the social degradation and cultural invisibility of women in English speaking countries by analyzing the sexism in English from the perspectives of morphology,word sequence,semantics,salutation,description and aphorism,etc.
