摘要
本文从五个方面探讨了委婉语在英美社会的应用。委婉语不仅是一种修辞手段,更是体现了不同社会的文化价值观、思想模式和道德观。随着社会的发展,委婉语的应用也产生了相应的变化。
Euphemism is widely used in daily life. Euphemism is not only one of the figures of speech, it also represents the cultural value and thinking pattern of different peoples. Euphemism is developing with society. This paper discusses the application of euphemism in British and American society in five aspects.
