大学英语教学改革是近年来教育部高等学校教学质量与教学改革工程的重要组成部分。教育部为此颁发了新的《大学英语课程教学要求(试行)》,明确规定了大学英语改革是教学模式、教学内容、教学手段和教学评估体系的改革,以提高大学生英语的综合应用能力为目的。皖西学院的教改获得了教育部立项,在大学英语教学改革方面进行了大胆地探索与尝试并取得了阶段性成果。

College English teaching reform is an important component of the whole Teaching Quality and Reform Project in Higher Schools developed by the Ministry of Education.According to College English Curriculum Requirements(For Trial Implementation),all the teaching models,contents,methods and assessments should be involved in the Reform,aiming at improving college students'comprehensive ability in using English.The teaching reform project in West Anhui University was approved by the Ministry of Education,in which a lot of exploration and attempts was carried out and a big headway has been made so far.
